Growing Demand Leads to New Additions at The Hondo Group

Austin, Texas (January 11, 2010) – The Hondo Group, an Austin-based marketing communications company, is pleased to announce the addition of Matt Jones, Gregory LeRoy, Sam Monreal and Tina Lopez to its team of innovative experts.

Matt Jones, Copywriter

Matt is an idea-driven, multifaceted copywriter with more than 16 years of experience. One of a handful of Creatives in the industry with a VP-level Account Service background, his expertise crosses a wide variety of media vehicles including print campaigns, websites, video scripts and award-wining brand development. Prior to joining The Hondo Group, Jones worked for agencies that included GSD&M, The Leo Burnett Company Inc. and McCann-Erickson servicing clients who included Pearle Vision, Dell Computer Corporation and Texas Instruments. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Speech/Communication from Texas A&M University.

Gregory LeRoy, Senior Developer

Gregory LeRoy brings more than 10 years of experience in web development and software engineering to his new position. He brings an impressive understanding of the intricate nuances of the Internet. Often referred to as the ‘weaver’ (weaving wide worlds) LeRoy will serve as the Senior Developer, concentrating his expertise on planning, designing and implementing web services and web sites. Previously LeRoy worked with FIRST ROI, Milkshake Media, CompassLearning, Dell, and e-MDs. He studied Computer Science and Psychology at Southwestern University.

Sam Monreal, Business Development

Sam combines over a decade of marketing and sales expertise in the financial services industry with a true passion for advertising and brand development. As a former boxing trainer, Monreal brings a tenacious spirit to helping clients develop communication programs that generate results beyond expectation. As a stockbroker with Charles Schwab, he rose to the company’s top 5% within two short years, earning him the Leaders’ Board Recognition honor early in his career. His experience includes a diverse group of financial services firms such as Guarantee Bank, World Capital Mortgage (Top Company Sales 2006), Level Funding, LLC (Top Company Sales 2007) and other top-tier Austin companies including Dell Computer Corporation. Sam attended The University of Texas Red McCombs School of Business on a National Hispanic Scholar Scholarship.

Tina Lopez, Traffic/Production Manager

Tina Lopez has joined The Hondo Group as traffic/production manager coordinating projects, creative resources and timelines. She brings valuable knowledge to the company, with nine years of experience in editorial design, management and project administration. Previously Lopez worked for elite companies such as CompassLearning, LeapFrog and Ziff Davis Media. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.
